**6th Grade Writer’s Workshop**

We will be working in Unit 1 in our textbook, which is pages 31-67.

This unit focuses on sentences and sentence structure.

I am estimating that the Unit 1 test will be on December 16th.

We are working on our persuasive essays which are due on 12/2.

When we finish those we will be learning how to write expository paragraphs, as well compare and contrasting.

With Advent beginning we will also be writing an Advent journal and completing our 10 Days of Kindness.

 

The Vocabulary Workshop Unit 3 test will be on 12/2.

**7th Grade Writer’s Workshop**

We will begin working on Unit 9 in the textbook, which is pages 378-396.

This unit is about nouns, contractions and appositives.

I am hoping to have the Unit 9 test on 12/16.

This week we will learn about the writing process and begin writing in our Advent journals.

We have begun our small group guided reading. The kids are loving their groups and it is so great to see them collaborating and leaning from each other.
