Preschool – PK3 and PK4

  • Preschool
Hello! My name is Jane Brzezinski. My students call me Mrs. B. I am excited to join the staff at Holy Family School as the Preschool teacher! I have 25 years of experience teaching young children. I attended UW-Green Bay, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development and DPI certification to teach Preschool-Kindergarten. I also have a Master of Education degree in Integrated Teaching through the Arts from Lesley University. Together with my husband, Bryan, we share four children. We also have a rescue dog that we adopted from the Humane Society a few years ago. My interests include art, music, reading, and recycling. I enjoy crafting, making cookies, watching Packer games and spending time with family and friends. I love working with young children, especially doing art projects that emphasize process over product. I look forward to watching my "busy bees" grow and learn as they have fun in preschool!

Preschool children will attend Mass on Holy Days.

All children come to experience a hands-on approach to learning here at Holy Family.  Materials and activities are interactive and open-ended, allowing children time to explore, experiment, discover, learn and have fun!  Our schedule is flexible and consists of large group time, teacher as well as child-directed activities, and free-choice time.  Along with early literacy and math skills, social skill development is also a major focus in preschool.

Parents are a valued part of the home-school team.  Thank you, parents, for all you do to stay connected to Holy Family School.  A preschool newsletter will be sent home once a week to keep you updated on what is happening in the classroom.

In both the PK3 & PK4 classes, much of our day is focused on learning with role modeling and a creating a positive “first school” experience.   We also teach with both small and large motor activities, while incorporating language development, and listening skills.  Problem solving skills are also emphasized in the preschool classroom.

The children have many opportunities to play and learn in a variety of learning centers, including: blocks and vehicles, dramatic play, sensory tub, library/books, ABC, math, science, nature, writing, art, and play dough.  Process art is valued over product art.
