The Holy Family BASIC (Before and After School Individual Care) program is designed to provide students with an opportunity to be in a safe structured environment day while completing their homework, doing projects, connecting with friends and engaging in physical activities. BASIC is designed to be a resource for parents who need a place for their child for the start/end of the school day and the start/end of their work day. BASIC provides a safe environment for your child at an affordable price!
Before School Care
Before School Care is available from 6:30am until 8:00am. A healthy snack is served to children arriving before 7:45am. Before school time can be used as it best serves the needs of the child. The time may be used as a study time or structured free time. The students are released at 8:00am to join their classmates for social time before the school day begins.
After School Care
After School Care is available immediately following dismissal until 5:30pm. The time begins with a bathroom break and a healthy snack. On Early Dismissal days, children bring their own lunch and healthy snacks are provided.
Following their snack, the children will have time to work on completing homework if they so choose. Physical activity is a big part of BASIC and we do our best to go outside OR to the gym every day. Projects and creative play is also part of the day.
BASIC employs a varied staff. Each member has a different personality that helps to keep the program fresh, new and exciting for the students. Our diverse group of BASIC providers includes a variety of ages & UW-Green Bay & St. Norbert College students.
The coordinator for the program is Heather Phillips. She can be reached by emailing HFSbasic@gracesystem.org.
